Could it be a sign of the changing times and could, once again, that renegade Amazon be changing the face of the publishing industry?  VP of Amazon Publishing, Jeff Belle, sent a revolutionary letter to authors’ agents informing them that the online giant has decided to pay authors every month rather than their previous three months (and rather than the six months and sometimes up to a year that I’ve had the displeasure of experiencing through writers’ stories from Killer Nashville).  This has to be great news to both agents and authors.  Two things: this is a wonderful way for Amazon to woo writers into their fold and – try as they might – other publishers are going to have to take note of this and deal with any backlash of their continued lengthy payment cycle.  From a traditional publishing point-of-view, dealing with returns will be a tricky issue if…
