Why I chose this book:

Okay, let’s get it straight right from the start: I love Louisiana crypts. Throw in a voodoo woman, and you’ve got me.

Christine Albright was drawn into the center of an eight year old double homicide while furnishing an old Thibodaux, Louisiana plantation house under renovations. The only survivor of the attack on her family, then eight year old Celestine Badeau is now sixteen and being pursued by the demon sent by a voodoo woman, Old Tre intent on killing her. The mystery of these murders exposes Christine’s dark past, being possessed by a demon as a teenager. The accidental meeting between Christine and Celestine sets into motion horrors straight out of Hell. Courage is their only defense.

Frederick (Fred) J. Arceneaux grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida from age 5. After 2 years of college he entered the insurance industry marketing products to individuals and businesses as well as teaching insurance. An auto accident caused a disc in his lower back to rupture putting an end to his 29 year career. In 2002 Fred and his wife Christine moved to north central Alabama. A year later he began writing and in January 2008 he joined Romance Writers of America.
